What Does the following pelvic Scan Result Indicate?
Hello, I need an interpretation of my pelvic scan report: Uterus RV bulky, with heterogeneous myometrical echo. ET is 7.3 mm Both ovaries seen normal, thickened rt tube seen. POD fluid++ Vague probe tenderness IMP - PID with Rt Salpingitis. Adenomyosis The doctor told me that I have a uterus infection. And I was prescribed antibiotics, and suppositories. Is it serious issue? Please explain and advise if antibiotics will treat this infection. Any other treatment or lifestyle advices? Any food and drink I should avoid? Thank you

It looks like an infection if Uterus and surrounding pelvic structures commonly called PID or Pelvic Inflammatory Disease.
Now you have to take antibiotics for the prescribed period and be on follow up with your doctor as the response to treatment needs to be monitored.
Lifestyle modifications towards a healthier lifestyle with proper food and exercise is always advisable regardless of the disease you have. But for this specifically nothing as such is necessary although it is advisable to avoid alcohol and smoking till the time you're on antibiotics.
Now i want you t understand that it is extremely important that you keep in touch with your doctor as if left untreated or partly treated it can lead to infertility and other complications later in life.
